Obituary for Theodule J. "Ted" Cormier

Theodule J. "Ted"  Cormier
Theodule J. “Ted” Cormier, 86, of 114 Baker St., Gardner died peacefully Sunday, October 9th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his family.
Born in St. Paul, NB, Canada on July 23, 1925, he was the son of Albanie and Rose (Cormier) Cormier.
Ted was a machinist employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner until retiring in 1987. He was formerly employed by G & T Construction Company, Gardner Creamery and People’s Fuel and Ice Co., all of Gardner.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
He was a member of the Acadien Social Club, Beagle Club and the Deer Club. Ted enjoyed golfing, gardening and watching western television programs. He was a sports enthusiast and especially loved watching the Red Sox and the Bruins.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Aline M. (Cormier) Cormier of Gardner; 3 sons, Alan J. Cormier, Rheal J. Cormier and his fiancee Michele Herbert, all of Gardner, John J. Cormier and his spouse James Bonanno of Boston; 4 daughters, Rosella Peters and her husband Richard of Fitchburg, Gloria Erickson and her husband Peter of Gardner, Diane Beebe of Agawam, Jeannette Fontaine of Charlotte, NC; 5 brothers, Stanley Cormier, Leo Cormier and his wife Katie all of Toms River, NJ; Donald Cormier and his wife Leontyne of St. Paul, NB, Albeo Cormier and Armand Cormier both of Moncton, NB, Canada; 2 sisters, Corinne Gerome of Toms River, NJ and Lillian Cormier and her husband Ernest of St. Paul, NB, Canada; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Nieves, Steven Peters, Melissa McClanahan, Scott Sadin, Julie Hines, Janelle Cormier, Jacqueline Cormier, Christopher Beebe, Jeffrey Beebe, Chad Fontaine and Matthew Fontaine; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Aris and Harvey Cormier and 2 sisters, Doreen Lizotte and Marie Cormier.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, October 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
